The wife and I stop by here as often as we can even though we live far away. The food is authentic, my wife would know since she was born and raised partially in Mexico! Today she had the carne asada tacos and I had a sopas Mexican style. The tortillas were perfectly warmed in oil, while the meat was tender, juicy with just a bit of charred ends. The sopa shell was homemade and the cactus was perfect!!!! The staff was friendly and the restaurant was very clean!!!!

My husband and I just ate here tonight while in St. Charles and holy mole!! I love their food! I had the Carne Asada, the meat is tender and melts in your mouth. My husband had the fajitas and absolutely delicious. The waitress was super helpful and very friendly. I’m so happy we stopped in for dinner tonight

This was probably the most authentic Mexican food we’ve had in a very long time! The chips are made fresh in-house every day and are a sort of double thickness, making them REALLY crispy. The salsa doesn’t seem like it comes out of plastic buckets like many places. And the food felt very . . .authentic. You wouldn’t go there for the atmosphere or a romantic dinner (you could toss a baseball and hit the cars going by on North Avenue.) But the food was scrumptious and was served up quickly, despite having been freshly made to order. A couple of mothers of young kids came in for take-out, to our surprise, and someone called in to place their order in Spanish, always a good recommendation. The owner says they haven’t been in business at that site for very long, but they strive for authenticity. Parking is ample and easy behind the outlet. Highly recommended!

Probably the best in the area. It's not cheap per taco and you should bring cash, however. That said, all taco places in the area are not cheap. With this one, you are at least getting a good amount of high quality, well seasoned meat per taco.

New Ownership headlines this new hotspot for authentic Mexican food in the area. Been driving by for awhile..glad we stopped by! The whole family enjoyed everything from the fresh chips, salsa and guacamole to the incredible tacos, burritos and quesadillas! Will soon be a St Charles favorite.. It's quickly becoming a Hohensee favorite!

Moving from Addison, IL we have struggled over the past 5 years to find good Mexican food. We have tried almost every place. But finally we stopped in here a couple months ago, and will never go anywhere else. It’s the real deal! They are sooooooooooo kind as well.
